Over the past few months, we have created multiple blogs explaining all the great features available in an Interparcel account.

In this last Feature Friday's instalment, we look at a helpful tool you may not have heard of before called Parcel Presets.

What is Parcel Presets?

Parcel Presets are perfect for senders who tend to use the same packaging, or range of packaging, for their orders. You can save the dimensions and weight of boxes you regularly use to save you time during the booking process.

The weight, contents and value fields are optional to input but the more information you add, the quicker bookings will be for future parcels. Parcel Presets is particularly useful to set up if you sell one particular product or a subscription box service as you would use boxes that each have a uniform size.

On top of that, Smart Boxing is an extra handy feature that, when enabled, will automatically package your imported Shipping Manager shipments into as few boxes as possible. You can define your regular shipping box sizes manually in your account.

Why set up Parcel Presets?

If you can save time booking, you'd want to, right? Setting up Parcel Presets speeds up the delivery process and makes sending bulk shipments or regular orders easy- especially if you are a business customer.

How do I set up Parcel Presets?

1) Log into your Interparcel Account and navigate to the Parcel Presets section:

• Hover over 'My Account'
• Hover over 'Business Tools' in the drop-down menu
• Select 'Parcel Presets' in the following drop-down list

2) Here you can add or remove Parcel Presets. It's so simple to set up your standard packaging:

• Click 'Add Parcel Preset'
• Give your Preset a name, e.g. 'small subscription box'
• Enter in the weight, length, width and height of the package
• Enter in the Contents and Value if you like

3) Repeat as required- you can store as many parcel presets as you like!

Your defined box details are safely stored in your account, ready for your next shipment when using our Shipping Manager. When using the Shipping Manager feature under your account you can select a defined Parcel Preset - rather than filling out the weight and dimensions for your parcels.
